Filter email spam by url ?
« on: April 20, 2016, 11:03:25 AM »
Hello, Im on windows 2012 server with mailenable v. 8

Im stuck at blocking some annoying spammer that sends his spam with the same url from clean ips. In mailenable it says:

URL Blacklist Content Filtering
The MailEnable SMTP Connector scans the content of messages as they are received and can identify whether the contents of the messages contain offensive URLs by looking up their IP address against DNS blacklist providers.
Seems like its useless, it scans the body of email and then queries the ip of that found url ?

In my case the ip of that advertised url is clean, but the domain is NOT. Does it mean they changed their server recently or smth?

I guess there's nothing can be done?

thanks

Natalie

Hi Albert,
It is not quite clear what exactly you are referring to.
Is it their domain name that you want to block or is it the URL in the body of the email that should trigger the spam-filtering?
